We have two current positions:

• Teacher in wood and metal craft grades 4-9, 100%.
• Teacher in wood and metal craft grades 4-6, combined position including janitorial duties, 50% (distributed approximately 30%+20%).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a craft teacher in wood and metal, you meet students with curiosity, creativity, and varying prior knowledge. Your day often begins with preparing the craft room; materials are gathered, machines are checked, and the day's activities are planned. During lessons, you guide students in both practical and theoretical work, from idea and sketch to finished product.

You teach safe handling of tools and machines, demonstrate techniques in wood and metal craft, and support students in developing problem-solving skills, perseverance, and creativity. An important part of the job is to adapt teaching to students' needs and create a safe, inspiring, and structured learning environment.

In addition to teaching, planning, assessment, and documentation are included, as well as collaboration with colleagues regarding students' learning and the school's development. No day is the same, but each day is characterized by creativity, learning, and interactions with students.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has/is:

• Certified teacher with qualifications in the subject of craft.
• Good ability to express yourself in spoken and written Swedish.
• Good ability to use digital tools to support your work, e.g., Word, Outlook, Teams.

We consider previous experience teaching in primary school as a merit.

Your personal qualities are important to us, and we will place great emphasis on them. You are creative, solution-oriented, and have an easy time inspiring students with different backgrounds and interests. At the same time, you are patient, attentive, and have the ability to meet each student where they are.

We value that you are responsible, meticulous, and safety-conscious, and that you enjoy collaborating with colleagues and contributing to the school's collective development work. You also have a good ability to plan, organize, and follow up on teaching.

In accordance with the law on certification requirements (SFS 2014:458), teachers without certification cannot receive permanent employment. Therefore, teachers without certification are offered a fixed-term employment until certification can be presented. Does this sound exciting?
