Junior Land Negotiator for Infrastructure Projects

Job Responsibilities

This is a role that combines property law issues with socially important projects. As a junior land negotiator, you will support our land negotiators who are one of our outward faces and an important link between the Swedish Transport Administration and individual property owners, municipalities, authorities, and other stakeholders affected by our projects.

The work involves assisting the land negotiator in arranging land access for the projects, preparing documentation for negotiations regarding compensation for the purchase of and intrusion into properties, as well as preparing documentation for other property law agreements. You will also participate in the projects from early investigation in planning and construction phases until all property matters are resolved. You will also assist the land negotiator, who is the representative of the Swedish Transport Administration before the land surveying authority, during land surveying proceedings. It is a varied role where you work both independently and together with your colleagues, and you are involved in the entire chain from planning, design work, construction phase to handover of the completed facility. The work sometimes involves meetings outside office hours, such as consultation meetings with the public, landowner meetings, and land surveying meetings.

Qualifications

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is at the start of their career and wants to deepen and broaden their competence in property law issues. Working with the land negotiator involves contacts with property owners, the public, and other stakeholders both within and outside the Swedish Transport Administration. To succeed in this role, we therefore see that you have good communication skills, which means you convey messages in a simple way and are attentive and adapt your communication to the recipient. You are also proactive and see what needs to be done and act accordingly, as well as having good collaboration skills and a structured way of working.

We are looking for someone who has:

• a university or college degree of at least 180 credits (120 points) in land surveying obtained in 2024
• a valid driver's license for passenger cars
• good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.

It is advantageous if you have:

• some experience in land access issues
• some experience in drafting property law agreements as well as valuation and negotiation.
