Care Assistant for Dementia Team in Järfälla
The Dementia Team works with individuals suffering from cognitive illnesses, primarily dementia, mainly in Jakobsberg, but eventually for all residents of Järfälla municipality. The purpose of the group is to provide special support and care for individuals with cognitive illnesses living in their own homes. Organizationally, we belong to home care services (support in ordinary housing).
We are now looking for you who are a trained care assistant with experience in dementia and want to work with us! We are about 30 wonderful employees working in the team alongside a group leader and unit manager. We operate from premises in central Jakobsberg, which we share with groups within home care as well as night and alarm patrols. As two of our employees are going on parental leave during the spring, we are now looking for two people to join our team. The positions are 100% and the working hours are 07:00 to 15:45 with weekend shifts every other week.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The work involves caring for individuals with dementia and dementia-like illnesses in ordinary housing with solid knowledge and practical skills. This is to increase the chances for the user to accept more support at home and enable them to stay in their home longer.
The work consists of helping users in their daily lives with everything from personal hygiene to actively promoting a meaningful and stimulating existence based on individual needs, interests, and conditions. Job tasks also include shopping, laundry, cleaning, and escorting. Since the work is performed in the user's home, it is important to be able to adapt accordingly. Smoking and pets may be present in some homes. We have a close collaboration with, and receive guidance from, the municipality's dementia care developer. We meet regularly to reflect on our working methods, develop ideas, and support each other.
The positions are for at least one year starting in April.
Would you like to be part of our so-called D-team and drive this project together with us? Do not hesitate to send in your application today!
