Dalsjöskolan is a school where staff and students thrive and work towards good academic results. Dalsjöskolan is a 4-9 school with 630 students and about 100 staff members. We have three parallel classes in the middle school and six in the high school. The school is a workplace with a positive atmosphere, and we work together based on current research. We have a well-functioning student health team consisting of a special educator, school nurse, school psychologist, and counselor who work preventively in close collaboration with staff.

At Dalsjöskolan, there is also a municipal special education group for grades 4-9.

Teacher for grades 7-9, Mathematics and Science at Dalsjöskolan

In this position, you will work as a teacher in Mathematics and Science in Dalsjöskolan's flexible program. You will plan, implement, and evaluate teaching in your subjects.

You will also be a mentor in a class and share the role of class supervisor with another colleague. You will be part of a teaching team, where you will have opportunities to reflect on your work and receive support as needed, as well as solve challenges together.

You have high and positive expectations for all students and help them structure their daily lives to facilitate learning. Your approach is motivating, and you work with significant student influence to provide students with various opportunities for development. You enjoy meeting young people from different backgrounds and circumstances. You demonstrate clear leadership, and your teaching is planned, implemented, and evaluated based on the students' needs and conditions.

At Dalsjöskolan, we share the responsibility for the students, and therefore the job responsibilities also include participating in homework help, holiday school, as well as being a playground and lunch supervisor. The work also involves contact with guardians.

You who are applying have a teaching license with authorization to teach Mathematics and/or Science for grades 7-9. It is an advantage if you are also authorized to teach the relevant subjects for grades 4-6.

As a person, you are calm and secure and have a low-affect approach. You have good leadership skills and are skilled at meeting and communicating with other people. You easily create and maintain good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. You help students believe in themselves through continuous feedback and are attentive to your students' opinions and needs. We also see that you are good at collaborating as exchanges occur continuously with colleagues in subject and work teams.
