Who are we?

The product Container and virtualization is operated by the Container Team and the Virtualization Team, which, with a great deal of self-leadership, drives their respective platforms towards ever-increasing demands for availability and security.

The Container Team is responsible for the Employment Agency's on-prem container solution (OpenShift), i.e., development and operational environments for applications, as well as pipeline tools for the CI/CD flow.

The Virtualization Team is responsible for the Employment Agency's on-prem virtualization solution (VMware), i.e., the foundation for a large number of mission-critical systems.

We tackle complex problems together, enjoy learning from each other's competencies, and value having humor with us every day. Occasionally, we engage in activities outside of work, such as attending tech conferences, user groups, and similar events.

At work, we face new challenges as the virtualization landscape changes and more and more purchased applications require container technology. As an authority, we need to be cautious with the use of the cloud and not tie ourselves to individual vendors. Open source is highly interesting, and we need to work out a good mix. We are dedicated to realizing the capabilities identified by our area architects so that the Employment Agency's approximately 60 product teams and their applications are offered a really good development and operational environment from us!

Basic requirements for the position

• Post-secondary education with an IT focus, YH education or equivalent knowledge acquired in other ways
• Current work experience from operational technical work with the VMware platform, including vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter Server
• Good technical understanding and interest in IT infrastructure, including networking and storage
• Fluent in speaking and writing in Swedish (non-Swedish speakers will not be considered)

Other merits for the position

• Current work experience from operational technical work with other virtualization solutions such as Proxmox or CloudStack
• Current work experience from operational technical work in a large data center environment
• Current work experience from backup solutions such as NetBackup or Commvault
• Experience in operations according to ITIL
• Experience in agile working methods and approaches
• Relevant courses and certifications as an IT technician

It is important for us that you have a willingness to learn new technologies and enjoy solving problems both independently and collaboratively. As a person, you are proactive, self-driven, and solution-oriented. At the same time, you have good collaboration skills. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability for the role.

The position is a permanent full-time employment with a start date according to agreement, which may begin with a six-month probationary period.
