Support Assistant for Group Homes in Kungsbacka

Do you want to work with people and contribute to creating security, independence, and a meaningful everyday life? We are now looking for support assistants for three of our group homes in central Kungsbacka: Västra Villastadens group home, Lindens park group home, and Apotekarängen group home.

The Role of Support Assistant with Us

As a support assistant, you work to provide support in everyday life based on each person's needs, wishes, and implementation plan. You contribute to security, structure, and participation, creating conditions for a good life.

The recruitment concerns Lindens park group home, Apotekarängen group home, and Västra Villastadens group home. The position will be based at one of the homes, but since we collaborate between the operations, you may need to provide support at one of the other homes as needed.

At Lindens park group home, the work is more focused on activities and an active everyday life together with the residents. Here, the residents have a high level of functioning, and the work mainly does not involve personal care.

At Apotekarängen group home, more personal care and support in all aspects of daily life are included, while we also work with activities based on the residents' interests and wishes.

Västra Villastadens group home is a traditional group home with a high-functioning target group. The support that tenants need varies, and the work can include everything from motivational work and social support to medication delegation and personal care.

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Providing support in daily chores and leisure activities
• Motivating and guiding in daily life
• Working with social documentation and implementation plans
• Being a contact person

We work based on low-arousal responses, AAC, and clear pedagogical methods.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is confident in themselves and has a respectful and attentive approach. You find it easy to collaborate, are flexible, and can adapt to different working methods and needs. You take responsibility for your tasks, work in a structured manner, and can make decisions in daily life. You enjoy working closely with others and contribute to a positive atmosphere in the workgroup. You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as documentation is part of the job. Personal suitability is highly valued.

We are looking for you who have:

• Relevant education for the target group, such as support assistant, nursing assistant, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer
• Experience with low-arousal responses

It is advantageous if you have:

• Experience with personal care interventions (e.g., lifting, feeding tubes, catheters, PEP/Bilevel) (applicable to Apotekarängen).
• Are a trained nursing assistant (applicable to Apotekarängen).
• Experience working within neuropsychiatry and challenging behavior (applicable to Lindens park).
• Relevant work experience from the target group

Apotekarängen group home is centrally located near Signeshus with good communication. Here, eight people with intellectual disabilities, autism, or autism-like disabilities live. The work involves support in all aspects of daily life, and there is a greater emphasis on personal care, while we actively work to create community and activities based on the residents' interests.

Lindens park group home is a newly built facility in central Kungsbacka with proximity to shops and public transport. Here, the focus is very much on activities and an active everyday life together with the residents. The target group has a higher level of functioning, and the work mainly does not involve personal care. The facility has six apartments and also collaborates with the service apartment in the same building.

Västra Villastadens group home is a traditional group home in central Kungsbacka for eight tenants. Here, people with various disabilities live in their own apartments with patios, while there is a larger shared living room and kitchen for socializing. The residence is centrally located with good communication and proximity to services and public transport.

Our Offer and Other Information

We offer permanent full-time positions starting by agreement. You will work daytime, evenings, and weekends, and have night duty.

Within the Department of Individual & Family Care, all employees within Housing with Special Services and Home Support are employed full-time but have the opportunity to reduce their desired employment level based on the needs of the operation.
