We are now looking for someone who wants to work with us at the Support and Welfare Unit. In today’s economic climate, our work is more important than ever. We are driven by the desire to make people feel secure and hopeful for the future by helping them achieve self-sufficiency and live an independent life. We are part of the social administration's department for social work, and with us work social workers, operational leaders, assistants, and unit managers together to help those in need of financial assistance or who have become homeless. Together, we are 24 people in the unit.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a social worker, you support individuals in finding pathways to self-sufficiency and living independently while assessing their right to financial assistance in the meantime. To thrive with us, you should enjoy meeting different types of people and life situations. You should be interested in change work focused on people's fundamental everyday lives in combination with public authority exercise.

The unit works purposefully to ensure both professional and legally secure public authority exercise as well as to develop qualitative methods for change work. We actively work with digitalization, such as simplifying and digitizing the application process for financial assistance.

The work requires collaboration both internally within the administration and externally, with, among others, the Employment Agency, the Social Insurance Agency, and the municipality's Labor Market Department.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is an educated social worker, alternatively someone who is studying but has not yet obtained their degree, or has a higher education deemed equivalent by the employer, including social law, with professional experience in social work.

You should have good pedagogical skills and be interested in motivational and change work. You should be knowledgeable about current legislation and regulations regarding documentation and have a good understanding of how society functions. Knowledge and experience in MI-based work are meritorious.

We place great importance on personal suitability and qualities such as initiative and flexibility, as well as being structured and responsible.
