IPSU - Individual Educational Support in Education is a valuable and qualitative service that the Public Employment Service procures with the ultimate goal of taking its strategic responsibility within labor market policy by allowing more people the chance to complete education in various shortage occupations.

As an IPSU educator, you will work closely with our participants under the guidance of our special educator. The assignments vary greatly and can involve a pedagogical setup where you meet the participant several hours each day or just a few hours per week.

The educational support for each participant takes place at various educational providers, which means a varied and developing workday, so it is important that you enjoy a changing work situation. In some educational settings, part of the lessons takes place outdoors.

Your task is to help the participant achieve the conditions necessary to succeed in their studies through special educational methods and the use of technical aids, apps, etc. You are a complement to the regular teacher and are expected/not to teach or be knowledgeable in the subjects of the current curriculum.

The role generally involves:

• Pedagogical work supporting (1) participants in an educational situation
• Collaboration and dialogue with staff from various actors providing the educational interventions relevant to our participants, e.g., teachers from providers of labor market education
• Participation in collegial forums, follow-ups, and quality work

• Collaboration with responsible specialists such as audiologists, special educators, vision pedagogues, sign language competence, or licensed occupational therapists
• Reporting and documentation of completed interventions in various systems

Formal requirements and desired experience

• Documented experience working with people with disabilities in an educational situation for at least one year.
• Documented experience working with cognitive aids in an educational situation for at least one year.

Employment conditions

• Need-based employment with the possibility of extension/permanent employment
• Scope: Full-time/part-time by agreement
• Individual salary setting applies

The position is based in Karlstad, but travel within the area occurs, and we wish for you to have a driver's license and access to your own car.
