The Social Administration in the City of Stockholm has an overarching and coordinating role for social services' individual and family care and the area of disabilities. Here, good conditions are created to meet residents in need of social services support. In close collaboration with the district administrations, we contribute to a modern, digital, legally secure, equal, and knowledge-based social service, and we have a strong focus on development. Within the administration, a wide range of support measures is offered to the city's residents, and the offerings change based on the needs of Stockholmers and the wishes of the district administrations. The work often takes place in close cooperation with other authorities, civil society, and the business community. The Social Administration is also responsible for the city's serving and tobacco permits and conducts supervision.

The unit against prostitution and human trafficking within the City of Stockholm works to reduce prostitution, decrease the demand for sexual acts, and to end human trafficking.

The unit against prostitution and human trafficking is part of the Social Administration and gathers the city's functions that work with these issues.

The Pom team works proactively and is tasked with making contact with individuals who are completely or partially outside the social support system through targeted outreach work, in collaboration with the police, as well as outreach work in public spaces, to inform and link them to the regular support system.

Your role

The position involves working in the outreach service aimed at individuals involved in prostitution or who are victims of human trafficking for sexual purposes. You will also meet individuals suspected of purchasing sexual acts. The work is conducted both in collaboration with the police and in street environments and other public spaces where prostitution occurs. The work is scheduled for evenings and can take place any day of the week, usually between 2:00 PM and 12:00 AM.

Your qualifications and experience

We are looking for someone who has:

• A degree in social work or other education deemed equivalent by the employer
• Experience in social work with children, youth, and adults in vulnerable situations, particularly in prostitution or other vulnerabilities, as well as experience in outreach work
• Good knowledge of current social legislation
• A driver's license and good driving skills
• Knowledge of violence is an asset
• If you are multilingual, it is an asset, preferably Spanish

As a person, you are calm, stable, and have the ability to maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in daily work. You have excellent collaboration skills and relate to others in a responsive manner. Since the work often involves meeting people in crisis and with complex life situations, it is important that you can see opportunities, convey hope, and meet people in a respectful manner.
