The Care and Social Administration is looking for nursing assistants and care assistants for elderly care in Backe and Rossön. We are looking for day and night staff for both home care and the special accommodation, Älvgården. We are looking for hourly substitutes and full-time staff on a permanent basis.

The villages of Backe and Rossön are located about 45 kilometers east of Strömsund on the county border between Jämtland and Västernorrland.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As care staff (nursing assistant or care assistant), you will work to support people in their daily lives based on assistance decisions and implementation plans. The tasks are varied, but some of the most common tasks are as follows.

  • Helping at home with cleaning and laundry, making beds, or shopping and cooking.
  • Personal care involves assistance with showering and toilet visits, dressing, fixing hair, or helping during meals.
  • Your assignment also includes enriching the daily lives of those you assist with various activities. This can be having extra social interactions, going for a walk, or playing games. Only your imagination sets the limits.
  • Medical tasks such as checking blood pressure, applying dressings, or administering medication. However, this requires delegation and is something you will learn over time.

Through workplace introduction, you will be given the conditions to perform the work that the task requires and follow the rules that exist at the workplace as well as those of the municipality as an employer.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant and/or has experience working with elderly people or people with functional variations.

You are responsible, have a clear approach, and can work independently. Collaboration with others is an important part of the job, so good teamwork skills are a crucial quality for those applying for a job with us. You are confident in yourself and feel comfortable working with individuals who have a great need for security, continuity, and structure.
