The Department for Individual Support & Preventive Measures consists of about 75 employees, one department head, and five unit managers. The department primarily works with authority exercise supported by SoL and LSS and is also responsible for processing applications for travel and national transport services, as well as implementing contact person and support family measures. The department employs LSS caseworkers, social psychiatry caseworkers, assistance caseworkers, transport caseworkers, housing coordinators, contact secretaries, fee caseworkers, and family support workers. The vision of the municipal federation is that the residents of Norrtälje municipality have good health. The Assignment

We are looking for an LSS caseworker for the LSS unit, which currently consists of 14 caseworkers, one senior LSS caseworker, and one unit manager. Within the LSS unit, we work with authority exercise focusing on processing cases under the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS) and the Social Services Act (SoL). There is a clear mandate within the department to develop case processing processes, working methods, collaboration, and innovation, as well as digital solutions as part of this. Challenges and Opportunities

The position of LSS caseworker involves case processing and authority exercise according to the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS) and the Social Services Act. Your main tasks will be to investigate, decide, and follow up on granted measures. As an LSS caseworker, you will handle applications for both children and adults. The work is based on a holistic perspective regarding the individual and their needs at the center, which occurs in collaboration with relatives, health care, other authorities, and partners. We have regular case discussions in groups and external process guidance. In addition to the regular tasks, employees participate in various development projects to advance the operations.

What You Need to Bring

To succeed in this fun and challenging work, it is a requirement that you have a degree in social work or another higher education that the employer assesses as equivalent.

The position of LSS caseworker requires you to be service-oriented, flexible, and meticulous. It is important that you are self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks and can structure, organize, and prioritize your work. You have good collaboration skills and enjoy working with other professionals, always with the individual in focus. We work according to IBIC (Individual's Needs Center) as an investigation methodology and place great importance on legal security.

Experience working with the target group within LSS and experience in authority exercise or other investigative work is advantageous. You need to have good communication skills as you will have many contacts with both clients, relatives, representatives, and other professionals. Since documentation and record-keeping are a large and important part of the work, you also need to have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. As the world is constantly changing, you also need to be flexible, proactive, and view challenges as something fun to solve.

Healthcare and Care in Norrtälje (KSON) is a unique collaboration between Norrtälje municipality and Region Stockholm. The mission is to meet the health care and care needs of the municipal residents. KSON thus has unique conditions to seamlessly meet the residents' needs for effective comprehensive solutions and is governed by a board with elected representatives from Region Stockholm and Norrtälje municipality.
