Make a difference. Every day.

We are now looking for a research nurse with team leadership responsibility for the research reception in Lund at the Research and Development, Education Unit (FoUU) within the Administration of Psychiatry, Habilitation and Aids. Here you will play a central role in an organization where research, development, and clinical everyday life meet, and where you will both contribute operationally to studies and lead the daily work of the research team.

The administration encompasses publicly operated psychiatry, habilitation, assistive technology services, and youth clinics throughout Skåne. The FoUU unit is tasked with making research a natural part of everyday healthcare by supporting operations, clinics, and departments in research work. The goal is to provide both patients and staff the opportunity to participate in research projects that contribute to the development of care.

Within the organization, there are several active researchers affiliated with the administration, creating a dynamic and knowledge-intensive environment. As a research nurse with team leadership responsibility, you will have the opportunity to combine clinical research work with coordination, support, and development of the team's work, in close collaboration with the FoUU manager and research leaders.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a research nurse with us, you will work closely with the research teams on both academic research projects and industry-sponsored drug studies, primarily focusing on psychiatric treatment studies. The work is conducted according to established study protocols and applicable regulations, and you will be responsible for the entire process surrounding study participants from recruitment to follow-up.

Your role includes team leadership responsibility where you lead colleagues in daily work, contribute to planning and coordinating studies, and ensure a well-functioning workflow in close collaboration with the FoUU manager and research leaders. You will serve as a natural contact person for questions regarding the implementation of studies and contribute to the development of working methods, quality, and collaboration within the team.

The work involves close collaboration with research colleagues, other healthcare providers, sponsors, and study participants. You will be based at the research reception in Lund but will also collaborate with various operations within Skåne. The role allows for significant flexibility to plan and structure your work based on the needs of the studies.

Examples of tasks:

  • recruitment, information, and follow-up of study participants
  • planning and conducting research participant visits
  • sample collection, sample handling, and data collection
  • study documentation and work in CRF and EDC systems
  • participation in monitoring, audits, and quality work
  • team leadership, coordination, and support for research nurses.

Overall, this is a role for you who want to combine clinical research work with an active responsibility for coordination, quality, and the team's collective development.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed nurse with specialized training in psychiatric care, eligibility to work within Swedish healthcare, and experience working as a research nurse. You should have good knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP). Language skills in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale are required. We also expect you to have good knowledge of English, both spoken and written, as this is relevant for the position.

You have a good understanding of applicable regulations and legislation for clinical studies and are accustomed to working systematically with study documentation and data quality. Experience working with electronic Case Report Forms (eCRF) and familiarity with Clinical Trials Information System (CTIS) and Ethix is an advantage.

As a person, you are self-driven, structured, and have the ability to maintain a holistic perspective even when several studies are ongoing simultaneously. The role includes team leadership responsibility, and you enjoy coordinating, leading, and following up on work with colleagues. You have good communication skills, work selflessly, and contribute to a positive and professional work environment. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Upon employment, a check against suspicion and the criminal record will be conducted.

In this recruitment, ongoing selection is applied, and we welcome your application today!
