The Department for Health, Care, and Social Services is now seeking summer substitutes for physiotherapists and occupational therapists for our unit SVU (collaboration at discharge)/Short-term care.
Job Responsibilities
As a summer substitute physiotherapist or occupational therapist in Malmö City, you will help create good conditions for individuals to live as independently and safely as possible. The work is based on the individual's needs, resources, and participation and is carried out in close collaboration with other professionals.
You will be part of a care planning team within SVU/Short-term care and have a central role in planning a safe and secure discharge from inpatient care as well as in the follow-up of interventions during short-term stays. Your duties include assessing functional ability, planning and following up on rehabilitative interventions, and contributing your professional expertise to care planning.
Planning is done in collaboration with colleagues and can be conducted digitally, through personal meetings at the hospital, or by phone. You will work both independently and in a team and have close collaboration with other professional categories to ensure a cohesive and safe care process.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a licensed physiotherapist or occupational therapist
- Has good knowledge of applicable legislation, established goals, and guidelines
- Is experienced in using various IT tools
- Can express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written
It is an advantage if you:
- Have experience in the profession and with SVU
- Have experience with the documentation system Procapita
To thrive in this role, you need to be able to easily adapt to changing circumstances at work and have a solution-focused and service-oriented approach. As an employee, you are proactive and actively participate in the development of our operations. You have a good sense of service and communication skills and are responsive to patients' individual needs.

About the Workplace
The Authority Department in Health, Care, and Social Services is organized into three units, one of which is responsible for collaboration and planning at discharge from inpatient care and follow-up of short-term decisions. In everyday language, we call ourselves SVU, an abbreviation for collaboration at discharge from inpatient health and medical care. The unit consists of about 80 employees divided into three sections with cross-professional teams including social workers, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and assistants. The professionals in the team decide based on their assignments on the need for assistance according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and interventions according to the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL).
