Make a Difference. Every Day.

Do you want to be our new colleague? For the first time in a long while, we have the opportunity to offer a position as a nurse at our Memory Clinic at the hospital in Hässleholm.

In Hässleholm, there is a personal and welcoming hospital with great drive. Here, you will find the proximity and advantages of a small hospital combined with broad knowledge and humble pride. We have a desire for development with accessibility and reliability as our guiding principles.

We are one of several specialized units in Region Skåne tasked with investigating and treating individuals with memory difficulties and other cognitive impairments. Our approach is team-based and consists of doctors, nurses, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, and medical secretaries. The team works closely with patients and has a network with other care and support providers.

The Memory Clinic belongs to the rehabilitation area (VO), with around 80 employees distributed across 10 different professional categories in five different teams. Within our VO, there are specialized clinics such as pain management, memory clinic, day care, and rehabilitation clinic, as well as Specialized Rehabilitation at Home (SPRIH). In March, we will also open an inpatient department for specialized rehabilitation.

The hospital in Hässleholm is within walking distance from the station, and it takes only 35 minutes by train to Lund. A positive employee survey and a good work environment are offered, with varied tasks and competent colleagues working closely with you. You will have the opportunity to develop in your professional role in a safe manner. The work environment and the development of various areas are continuously improved. We have long worked with routines such as job descriptions for each profession, priority lists, an annual calendar, and clear goals for both the organization and the work team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Are you looking for a workplace where innovation and development are encouraged? The clinic welcomes an engaged and driven nurse who wants to be part of the team. Here, collaboration and using the right skills to meet the patient's needs are valued.

Your work will be varied, including both team and individual patient visits, involving cognitive testing, medication follow-ups, consultations, advice, and assessments. Visits may include both clinic visits and home visits based on the patient's needs and circumstances.

Involving the patient in their care is a central part of the work. Contact with relatives is also a significant and important part of your job. We have started a group activity for patients based on the finger model, which is very rewarding, educational, and appreciated by our participants.

We have close collaboration with other care providers such as municipalities, primary care, and other units within the hospital. Your work will also involve contact with residents in the municipality, providing support and some guidance in patient matters. Regular network meetings are held with individuals working on investigations, treatment, and support for cognitive impairment in the municipality and primary care, where we are the conveners.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement. A valid B driver's license is also required for the position. We wish that you have several years of experience and feel well established in your profession as a nurse.

A specialist education in elderly care, psychiatry, or as a district nurse is an advantage. An interest in person-centered care for cognitive diseases is highly valued. If you also have experience working with individuals with cognitive impairment and support for relatives, it is a merit for the position. You are expected to have a great commitment and interest in working in a close team and contributing to the continued development of the organization. We welcome you with drive and willingness, but also with the courage to be a tool in the patient's process towards diagnosis and possible treatment. Being able to work flexibly and responsibly is a must, as the working method involves both independent work and teamwork. Additionally, it is important for us to have a positive and open spirit in our workplace. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability and good collaboration skills.
