Instructor in Automation Engineering – Mechatronics

📍 Location: Gothenburg (possibility for partial remote work) 📅 Start: Autumn semester 2026

Teknikakademin is looking for an engaged and knowledgeable instructor in the field of automation engineering with a focus on mechatronics. This role is suitable for you who have strong technical expertise in automation and want to help educate the engineers of the future in a modern and stimulating environment.

As an instructor, you will be responsible for planning, conducting, and developing the teaching within automation and mechatronics technology. The focus is on combining theoretical elements with practical applications in everything from electrical design to programming of control systems.

The teaching will primarily take place on-site in Gothenburg, with the possibility of some remote teaching depending on the course structure.

• Teach in the field of automation engineering with a focus on mechatronics

• Convey knowledge in areas such as automation, PLC, HMI, electrical design, digital technology, control technology, and industrial IT

• Develop, quality assure, and update course materials

• Guide students in project work and technical laboratories

• Monitor student progress and support their learning

• Contribute to the implementation of LIA-related components and collaboration with the industry

• Very good knowledge in automation, mechatronics, control systems, and industrial electrical engineering

• Experience in programming control systems/PLC and HMI

• Good understanding of electrical design, digital technology, and troubleshooting in process environments

• Relevant technical education and/or equivalent professional experience

• Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and pedagogically

• Experience from industrial automation, mechatronics, or process technology

• Previous experience as an instructor, mentor, or educator

• Experience working in project form and/or leading smaller projects
