The role is suitable for someone who is service-oriented, pedagogical, and enjoys speaking in front of people. You are creative and passionate about providing our visitors with the best possible experience!

Responsibilities

No two days are the same with us. As an exhibition host, your tasks will vary greatly depending on the number of visitors we have. This can involve everything from managing the entrance cash register, operating rides in the park, or hosting shows. You will also work on the maintenance of both experiments and facilities. For us, the visitors are always our priority, and you play an important role in their experience with us.

The Position

The positions are special fixed-term contracts at 70% during the summer of 2025. To be eligible for the position, it is important that you can work the entire period from week 24 to 33, and during this time, there are limited opportunities for leave. Working hours will be scheduled for regular weekends and varying weekdays. If you can start your employment as early as May, that’s a plus.

Requirements

We have visitors from all over the world, so it is a requirement that you speak Swedish and English. If you can speak one or more other languages, that is an advantage. You must also be at least 18 years old to apply for the position.

About Tom Tits Experiment

With nearly 200,000 visitors annually, Tom Tits Experiment is Sweden's largest science center. Under our roof, there are several hundred interactive experiments that make science and technology accessible and fun. We also have 50 knowledgeable colleagues, a lot of creativity, and a constant desire to improve and refine for our visitors. We are curious and hope that you – like us – are passionate about creating the best experience ever for both young and old explorers. Within Tom Tits Experiment, there are exhibitions, restaurant/café, conference and events, shop, educational programs, and our own preschool.

Our Wishlist

We are curious about you! To be considered for this role, you need to have completed a high school education. You enjoy working with children and young people and have a strong interest in science and technology. Speaking in front of people, in both Swedish and English, is something you are used to and find enjoyable. You also need to be meticulous and able to take responsibility for ensuring our routines are followed. If you are proactive, engaged, and curious, you have likely found the summer's most fun part-time job!

Bonus Points

You do not need previous work experience to apply for the position in the exhibition, but it is advantageous if you have experience in performing, leadership, pedagogy, and/or service work in some form. If you have worked in similar industries, taken courses, or received training in theater, rhetoric, pedagogy, or similar, that is a plus. The most important thing is that you enjoy meeting people and are comfortable speaking in front of groups.
