As a nurse in home care, you will be responsible for registered patients aged 18 and over who need health and medical care at home. Your role involves being the nursing responsible nurse based on a geographical area. We work preventively in teams with nurses, occupational therapists, nursing staff, and unit managers to create good and safe care. We also collaborate with doctors and physiotherapists from the region. For us, it is important to start from a person-centered and rehabilitative approach with our patients' wishes and needs in focus.

During evenings and weekends, we have a central organization where all home care areas collaborate from one workplace. This promotes close collegial cooperation, clearer division of labor, and reduced shifts during evenings and weekends. Examples of Work Tasks:

  • decide, implement, and follow up on nursing measures
  • be responsible for guidance and training in nursing
  • instruct and delegate health and medical tasks to nursing staff
  • document in various quality registers and operational systems
  • participate and drive continuous improvement and development of our operations

About the Workplace

We are currently located in new and fresh premises in Hälsokvarteret Wadköping. There we will share the building with municipal home care units and Skebäck health center. Currently, we have nurses, occupational therapists, nursing assistants, administrators, and unit managers working together to form an experienced and competent workgroup with a great atmosphere. We collaborate with several other operations such as the evening organization for nurses at Säbo, night nurses, and several home care groups. Our catchment area is in Norrcity, the eastern parts of Örebro, and parts of northern Örebro around Svampen and its surroundings.

Home care is organized within the Social Administration's area of Care and Support. The operations include care and support, preventive activities, authority exercise in the area, as well as housing placement and housing adaptation. Within the area of Care and Support, we work to support and help people who need care, support, or assistance in their daily lives.

Qualifications

As a nurse, you are confident in yourself and have good self-awareness. You enjoy having your own areas of responsibility and take responsibility for your tasks in an independent and structured way. Being attentive and accommodating in your interactions, both with colleagues and clients, is a given for you. You are clear in your communication and have the ability to ensure that information gets through. Additionally, you easily adapt to changing circumstances and see opportunities and solutions in what you face. Furthermore, you master the Swedish language in a way that allows you to communicate with clients and other staff, as well as document what the operations require. Since the work involves digital documentation in operational systems, good computer skills are required.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements:

  • licensed nurse
  • driving license B

Meritorious:

  • experience working as a nurse
  • experience in municipal health and medical care
  • experience working in operational systems such as Lifecare HSL, Lifecare Sp, Pascal, and NPÖ
  • trained district nurse
  • geriatric training or other further education considered relevant for the position

Scope and Start Date

Employment form: permanent position

Employment rate: 100%

Start date: by agreement

Number of positions: 1-2

Working hours: day, evening, and weekend
