As one of our occupational therapists is going on parental leave and another is on sick leave, we are now looking for two licensed occupational therapists to join our team within the HSL unit who want to work with us during this period.

As an occupational therapist in Degerfors municipality, you will be offered a varied job where you plan and prioritize your workday independently. As an occupational therapist in Degerfors municipality, you may work with both regular and special housing and short-term units as well as LSS.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We work with health-promoting, person-centered care and plan the work based on the individual’s unique conditions and needs.

A close team collaboration with other professional categories such as nurses, nursing assistants, care assistants, unit managers, and physiotherapists from the health center constitutes a large part of the work. You will also have close cooperation and regular contact with both relatives and other external parties such as inpatient care.

As an occupational therapist with us, you help create important conditions for individuals to live as independently, participatively, and meaningfully as possible. Your varied work includes ADL assessments, provision of assistive devices, training in ADL skills, and issuing certificates for housing adaptations based on the individual’s own goals, activity ability, and needs.

You instruct/train/supervise care staff and relatives on current measures and in the rehabilitative approach in working with individuals. The measures are individually adapted to support the individual’s increased independence and participation in daily life.

You always have close support in your work as our occupational therapists' offices are located in the same place. We offer you a varied, responsible, and stimulating job.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a licensed occupational therapist or has a degree and is in the process of obtaining a license.

You have a good ability to be flexible and to be independent in planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work.

We see that you are an engaged and driven person with a professional and good attitude who is open to new ideas and wants to help develop our operations.

You are confident in yourself and comfortable working independently and supervising others, but you are also flexible in your way of working and see opportunities in the challenges that arise.

As a person, you are positive, service-oriented, and responsive, and you share your expertise. You find it easy and enjoyable to work with others and contribute to a good working environment.

You have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing and have good computer skills.

We place great emphasis on engagement, collaboration skills, and personal suitability.

A valid driver's license for a manual transmission vehicle is required.
