Job description

Do you want to work at the heart of EU disease prevention? Randstad Life Sciences is now looking for a Junior Expert to the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) in Stockholm/Solna. This is a unique opportunity for you with a background in Public Health to work with crisis management and the Early Warning and Response System (EWRS) on a European level.

As a consultant at Randstad Life Sciences, you will have a secure employment with a collective agreement while developing your skills in an international environment. The assignment starts as soon as possible and runs until 30 June 2026, with a possibility of extension.

Responsibilities

Your main tasks will be to support the operational and developmental aspects of the EWRS. This includes:

  • Requirements & Development: Actively contribute to defining high-level requirements for the new crisis management module of the EWRS.
  • Business Analysis: Participate in weekly meetings regarding business analysis and system development.
  • Meeting Coordination: Support the preparation, facilitation, and reporting (minutes/follow-up) of the EWRS Group meetings.
  • Data & Visualization: Contribute to the exploration of data collection and visualization methods for public health within the system.
  • Communication: Coordinate discussions and support the organization of webinars with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Preparedness: Contribute to general preparedness and response activities related to the system.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should be organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a multicultural environment.

Requirements:

  • Academic degree and professional experience in Public Health.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (both spoken and written).
  • Understanding of the collaboration between EU institutions and EU/EEA Member States.
  • Very good skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Meritorious (Nice to have):

  • Experience in preparedness and response work.
  • Experience with project management.
