Professional Galaxy is looking for: System Tester – Avionics & Safety-Critical Systems

In this consulting assignment, you will work within the advanced and safety-critical aerospace and defense industry. The assignment is located in Huskvarna and involves close collaboration with the development, verification, and testing of complex avionics systems, where quality, safety, and traceability are crucial.

You will have the opportunity to work in a technically advanced environment and contribute throughout the entire development chain – from requirements definition to finished verified system solution.

About the assignment

The assignment is placed within an organization that works with qualification, integration, verification, and testing of safety-critical systems. You will be part of a team of approximately 20 specialists and collaborate closely with system engineers, designers, test engineers, and project management.

As a system tester, you will be responsible for system-level testing in a requirements-based development process, where validation, verification, and full traceability are central parts. The work provides good insight into how safety-critical aircraft systems are developed according to established standards and processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop, analyze, and manage system requirements and test plans

• Break down requirements into test cases and define test specifications

• Implement test cases, primarily in Python

• Conduct system tests and analyze test results

• Document and report test results at the system level

• Coordinate work between requirements, system architecture, validation, and verification

• Work with requirements management in DOORS according to established processes for safety-critical development

Qualifications

To be considered for the assignment, we see that you have:

• An engineering degree in electronics, software, or physics

• At least 1 year of experience in requirements work as well as verification and validation

• Experience in system testing

• Programming experience in Python

• Experience or good understanding of requirements management tools, such as DOORS

• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Meritorious

• Experience working with safety-critical systems

• ISTQB certification or equivalent

Personal qualities

You are structured, analytical, and have an easy time collaborating with many different roles. You communicate clearly, take initiative, and actively contribute to improvements. Even in pressured situations, you work methodically and maintain calm.
