Are you Soldalskolan's new school nurse?

Soldalskolan is a F–9 school in Södertälje with approximately 550 students. We are purposefully working towards a learning environment characterized by participation, safety, and respect. The school is in a development phase where the preventive and promotional work of student health is a central part of the school's quality work.

We are now looking for a school nurse who wants to take an active and professional responsibility in the school's student health work and who sees the value of being present in the students' everyday lives.

Your responsibilities

As a school nurse at Soldalskolan, you will work with a clear preventive and health-promoting focus. The role includes both medical interventions and active participation in the school's daily activities.

Your tasks include, among other things:

- conducting health visits according to the municipality's basic program and following up on vaccination coverage
- offering open reception and minor medical interventions
- being visible and present in the activities, for example by moving around the school's environments, participating during breaks, and making close visits in classrooms
- contributing medical expertise to the school's student health work, both in the student health team (EHT) and in student health meetings (EHM) within the working groups
- working transprofessionally together with school management, school doctors, psychologists, counselors, special educators, teachers, leisure staff, students, and guardians
- documenting and following up on interventions according to current regulations

The role requires that the school nurse does not only work with the basic program but is also an active part of the school's preventive work in everyday life.

Who are you?

You are a professional school nurse who is confident in your professional responsibility and has the ability to make independent assessments. You see collaboration as a natural part of the role and understand the school's mission and context.

Requirements:
- licensed nurse
- specialist training in district nursing, pediatric and adolescent nursing, or school nursing program
- good ability to express yourself in spoken and written Swedish

Meritorious:
- experience working as a school nurse
- experience in preventive and health-promoting work in a school environment
- experience in counseling support, such as MI
- experience working in transprofessional teams

Personal qualities:

- confident in your professional role and judgment
- very good collaboration skills
- relationship-building and structured
- interest in and experience of actively contributing to and developing the preventive and health-promoting work in the school's transprofessional student health team.
