Specialist Nurse for BUP Stockholm's Unit for Psychosis and Bipolar Disorder
Are you interested in working with intensive interventions for children and adolescents with complex psychiatric issues? We are now expanding our staff in line with our extended mission.
Apply for a unique position where the specialist nurse's specific competence makes a difference every day!
BUP Intensive Outpatient Section receives children and young people, 0-17 years, with complex child psychiatric symptomatology that significantly impacts their level of functioning, often requiring intensive treatment and extensive collaboration. This includes our three intermediate care units, day care, trauma unit, and DBT team, along with the Unit for Psychosis and Bipolar Disorder, working integratively to tailor specialized treatment plans.
We are now looking for a specialist nurse to strengthen BUP Stockholm's unit for psychosis and bipolar disorder. The unit's mission is to quickly assess and treat children and adolescents with symptoms within the psychosis and bipolar spectrum, a mission that is now being expanded to consolidate and develop care for patients with treatment-resistant depression.
The unit's working method is based on FACT (Flexible Assertive Community Treatment) and is characterized by high medical competence, accessibility, flexibility, and person-centered care.
Job Responsibilities
You will work in a FACT team alongside doctors, psychologists, social workers, and occupational therapists, where you will be responsible for nurse-specific parts of the team work. Treatment for symptoms as well as increased autonomy, functionality, and a meaningful life are important goals in our patients' rehabilitation. You will also have overall responsibility as a primary care contact (FVK) for some of the team's patients, provide crisis support and psychoeducation to patients and families, and follow many of them until their 18th birthday. You work integratively with the patient and their network and can assess when other interventions need to be initiated.
As a specialist nurse, you perform assessments, medication follow-ups, patient and family education (PNU), and health conversations. You conduct or initiate interventions where metabolic side effects are a prioritized area. There is room for you to specialize in assessment and treatment within our target group and to be involved in developing the care we provide.
Qualifications
You should be a licensed nurse with specialist training in psychiatry and experience of independent work. Experience in child and adolescent psychiatry as well as experience in case management, FACT, and level 1 family therapy and CBT are meritorious.
Personal Qualities
You have good collaboration skills and can work independently. You enjoy both learning and sharing knowledge with colleagues and have a pedagogical approach to the patient and their network. You are structured and see evaluation and development as part of your work. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
We Offer
A stimulating and meaningful job with competent colleagues in multidisciplinary teams. We offer a dynamic learning environment that also makes the work exciting and varied, both at the unit and within our section. With us, you will receive an individually tailored introduction with a mentor and the opportunity for supervision. Our reception is characterized by high engagement for our patients and good collaboration. BUP Stockholm works systematically with management and leadership development to create a good and sustainable work environment where everyone can be heard and feel seen.
We are located in bright, beautiful premises at Globen, which we share with two other intermediate care units.
Employment Type
Permanent, full-time.
Additional Information
Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis during the application period. A probationary period may be applied.
We look forward to your application!
