In an effort to enhance the competence of our home care services, we are now seeking a specialist nursing assistant focused on care for the elderly for home care Center 1.

The home care service in Vänersborg is divided into several different groups that together form a whole. In Center 1, home care consists of two workgroups that share the same premises and work closely together in a common cluster, creating good conditions for collaboration and support.

The work is scheduled in a rolling eight-week schedule where you can influence your working hours by submitting requests to create a sustainable balance between work and leisure. You always have the right to eleven hours of night rest between shifts, and working hours include days, evenings, and every other weekend.

Responsibilities

As a specialist nursing assistant in home care, you will be involved in the daily work at the unit. You will work according to the Social Services Act 4 chap. 1 § and our goal is to strengthen or provide opportunities for the client to live an independent life. The tasks are varied and can also be complex based on the client's needs. As a specialist nursing assistant in home care, you will work with regular tasks within care and support. You will work closely with the client on care tasks and be a support in daily life.

In your role as a specialist nursing assistant, you will also:

• Guide and support colleagues in complex care and nursing situations.
• Independently guide and support colleagues in planning care and support tasks by collaborating with different professions.
• Independently guide and support colleagues in providing person-centered care for dementia and cognitive impairment, as well as being able to use situation- and individual-adapted methods based on national guidelines.
• Independently guide and support colleagues in providing person-centered care for individuals with behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia and implement action plans.
• Independently acquire additional knowledge and skills for continuous learning and professional development and reflection within the work area.

Your professional role also includes performing delegated health and medical care tasks, being part of a contact team around the client, writing and updating implementation plans, social documentation, and contributing to the development of the operation. We consider it an advantage if you have previous experience with BPSD and have worked as a permanent care contact.

We work in various digital systems to facilitate and ensure good quality in the tasks. Our planning and documentation system is LifeCare Planning and LifeCare mobile care (LMO). We have MCSS for signing delegated health care tasks and digital locks and medicine cabinets at the clients' homes.

Qualifications

You should have a positive view of people, be calm and secure in yourself, and have a good ability to work both independently and in a group. You should also be able to build relationships with others, be flexible, have a good reception, be easy to collaborate with, and be attentive to the client's needs.

You need to be proficient in the Swedish language in both spoken and written form and have basic technical knowledge such as handling a mobile phone, apps, and computers. We place great importance on personal suitability.

You have completed the Health and Care Program and further training as a specialist nursing assistant focused on the elderly (200 YH). We would also like you to have several years of experience in similar tasks.

A driving license (B) and cycling experience are required.
