Description

We are looking for an assistant nurse specialized in pediatrics for our pediatric sampling unit at Östra Hospital, area 4.

The Clinical Chemistry operational area, of which the sampling is a part, is an environmentally certified and accredited laboratory. We at the sampling unit place great value on quality and being the best at sampling and pre-analysis!

Responsibilities

In the unit, which conducts sampling at six hospitals in Gothenburg, about forty assistant nurses, lab technicians, biomedical analysts, and a nurse work together to provide the best service to our patients. In the pediatric sampling unit, three employees work, and we primarily perform capillary and venous sampling. We also conduct sampling and analysis of sweat, which is rare in Sweden. You will have many short patient meetings each day. We also work with information and education in departments, answer phone calls, and book patients.

Continuous development of the operation is important to us! This includes what services we can offer, how we can do it, and what assistance we can get from digitization. Our working hours are weekdays from 07:00 to 15:45. Since we have the most patients in the morning and forenoon, it is a requirement that you can start your workday at 07:00 every day. We work weekdays and daytime, which means we do not have on-call or night shift supplements.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained assistant nurse with specialization in pediatric medicine. A requirement is that you have good and documented experience in sampling from children.

We are looking for a cheerful, secure, and flexible person who enjoys making the patient's care experience a little better!

The work requires good interaction and communication skills as you will have a lot of contact internally with different healthcare units and with patients. This means you need to speak fluent Swedish and be able to write texts in Swedish.

You need to have good judgment and be able to independently take responsibility for tasks.
