Capio Geriatrik Dalen is a large workplace in Stockholm with several care departments. We have our own departmental kitchens where we prepare and serve meals to our guests. We are now looking for a kitchen assistant for a summer temporary position.

Capio Geriatrik Dalen, ward 71, is a care department focused on the safety, dignity, and well-being of elderly patients. We work cross-professionally with nurses, nursing assistants, dietitians, speech therapists, and other healthcare staff to create a good care environment where food plays an important role in the patients' health and comfort.

Your Responsibilities

As a kitchen assistant, you will work practically in the departmental kitchen and be responsible for the daily kitchen operations. Your tasks include:

• Preparing and serving meals according to established routines

• Cooking simple food and snacks (e.g., boiling eggs, porridge, baking, making smoothies)

• Setting the table and clearing away before and after meals

• Receiving and unpacking food deliveries

• Ordering food and meals according to instructions

• Keeping the kitchen clean and following hygiene routines

• Performing daily cleaning and self-checks

• Working to reduce food waste

• Reporting any issues that do not comply with routines or safety

The food is prepared in a central kitchen and delivered to the department – you will be responsible for handling and serving it on-site.

We Are Looking For Someone Who

• Has experience working in a kitchen (restaurant, café, large kitchen, or similar)

• Is meticulous, responsible, and enjoys working in a structured manner

• Thrives in practical work and teamwork

• Has good hygiene awareness

• Can understand and follow instructions in Swedish
