About the organization
The Finance Unit belongs to the Municipal Executive Office and is the municipality's central financial function. The unit leads the municipality's financial management, processes related to budgeting and follow-up, accounting, year-end closing, financial issues, and procurement support. The Finance Unit handles the municipality's incoming and outgoing payments, supplier and customer invoices, ongoing accounting, debt collection, and provides service and support to other departments. We share a common financial system with three other municipalities in Dalsland.

Job Responsibilities
The position involves managing the municipality's ongoing accounting of incoming and outgoing payments, performing daily reconciliations. You will be responsible for the municipality's accounts receivable in our financial system and take charge of invoicing, reminders, and debt collection in collaboration with our collection agency. The job also includes documenting and developing routines and training employees within your area of responsibility. Some collaboration occurs with other municipalities in Dalsland.

The position involves a lot of contact with our customers via phone.

You will work closely with the person responsible for accounts payable, and you will serve as substitutes for each other when needed. In the Finance Unit, we take collective responsibility for ensuring that work functions as well as possible, and we help each other with tasks when necessary. This means that you will have the opportunity to perform several other tasks within the unit.

Qualifications
We expect that you have studied to become an accounting economist at a vocational college or have a high school education with several years of experience in similar tasks. We assume that you have good knowledge of accounting and are accustomed to working in Excel and Word, as well as being able to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. Experience in overall financial systems administration is an advantage.

Since the position will involve many contacts, it is important that you are outgoing, positive, and have a pronounced service ability. Being meticulous, responsible, and structured are other important qualities. You can work independently as well as collaboratively with others. Personal suitability is highly valued.
