The position is located within the Care and Welfare Administration, which is one of eight administrations in Linköping Municipality. The Care and Welfare Administration is responsible for the municipality's elderly care, health and medical care, authority exercise, ordering services, and provides care and welfare in its own right. Your Responsibilities

We are now looking for a new colleague at Fanjunkaregatan nursing home who wants to be part of our wonderful team. The position is a permanent employment with a workload of 80-100%. The working hours for the position are varied and include day, evening, and weekend shifts.

With us, you will work to meet the individual needs of our clients. Together with your colleagues, you are an important piece in creating a meaningful everyday life for our clients. You will work to create opportunities for social interaction and participate in various activities, such as singing and cooking. The role of a nursing assistant also includes care tasks, which involve assistance with transfers, personal hygiene, household chores, and medical interventions.

We work based on IBIC (individual needs in focus) and with the individual's best interests in mind. Our work is also characterized by a salutogenic approach, which means focusing on the healthy aspects and drawing out the person's own abilities.

In this position, you will have the opportunity for development in your role as you will be assigned a contact responsibility for a number of individuals. This means you will participate in welcome conversations where you plan support measures together with the client. You will be responsible for the client's implementation plan and document in the Treserva system. The role also includes maintaining close contact with relatives and other collaboration partners.

Your Workplace

The Care and Welfare Administration provides elderly care in municipal management in Linköping. Here, there are approximately 1200 permanently employed staff and a large number of substitutes. Linköping Municipality has a long and well-established experience in care and welfare for our elderly residents.

Fanjunkaregatan is a nursing home for individuals with dementia and is located in the residential area Valla/T1 near Vallaskogen, not far from Linköping city. The accommodation consists of two different departments with a total of 13 places. We have a close collaboration among ourselves, and we help each other in the work teams.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who has a completed high school education, preferably as a nursing assistant, and experience of work or internship in the field. If you have knowledge of/experience with a salutogenic approach, low-arousal responses, and working with individuals with dementia, we consider this an advantage. It is also advantageous if you have experience with the IBIC method.

Work in elderly care involves a lot of client contact and documentation, which means we require you to communicate verbally and in writing in the Swedish language. You have the ability to use digital tools in your work, and it is advantageous if you have experience documenting in journal systems.

As a person, you are self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks and push your work forward. You also work well with others and listen and communicate clearly. It is also important that you have an empathetic ability that allows you to understand others' perspectives and situations. You also adapt easily to changing circumstances and see opportunities in changes.
