About the position

The Vascular Surgery Unit, Theme Heart, Vessels and Neuro, has a specialized and highly specialized profile with open and endovascular vascular surgery including aortic surgery, peripheral artery surgery, carotid surgery, and venous reconstruction. The unit's staff also has extensive engagement in bleeding control and vascular trauma as well as vascular reconstruction during tumor surgery. Vascular surgical consultation and emergency services are provided around the clock at Karolinska University Hospital in Solna and Huddinge, as well as together with Södersjukhuset for the entire Stockholm Region. The unit is involved in extensive research and educational activities. As an operations coordinator, your task is to book and call patients who are to be operated on within vascular surgery. Medical advice with fixed phone hours to patients regarding information about surgical planning, admission, aftercare, and rehabilitation is included. Responsibility for short-term and long-term surgical planning based on medical priorities and care place resources. You work closely with your coordinator colleague as well as the operations manager and nursing manager regarding surgical planning and care processes. The position involves daily contact with relevant units such as the vascular surgical department, admission unit/vessel clinic, angio, and surgery, but also with other operational units within the hospital, the region, and outside the region. Close cooperation takes place with the vascular surgical ward and clinic where tasks such as admission and aftercare planning may be included to ensure an optimal care process for the patient.

You report to the operations manager ME Vascular Surgery.

This advertisement concerns a permanent position, full-time. The work is scheduled during the day, Monday to Friday, with individual salary setting applied.

• is confident, meticulous, driven, change-oriented, and has a very good ability to collaborate.
• has good prioritization and communication skills and feels comfortable with many contact surfaces and parallel tasks.
• is a good organizer, structured, and stress-resistant.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Licensed nurse
• Experience working in TakeCare
• Fluent Swedish in speech and writing

Meritorious:

• Experience in vascular surgery
• Knowledge of Orbit
• IT proficiency
• Previous experience as an operations coordinator
