About us

Capio Geriatrics Löwet is located at Löwenströmska Hospital, beautifully situated in Upplands Väsby.

We consist of two acute geriatric inpatient wards with a total of 58 geriatric beds. We care for elderly patients who are acutely ill with conditions such as infections, cardiovascular diseases, COPD, diabetes, stroke, and orthopedic issues. Since the majority of our patients come to us directly from home, we have a close collaboration with ambulance services and emergency departments, welcoming patients at all hours of the day.

You will work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team where you, as a dietitian, play a very important role. You will join a cheerful and friendly work team that supports each other and is more than willing to share their experience, with an individually tailored introduction being a given for us.

Your role

Standard tasks as a dietitian in a geriatric ward where you meet patients suffering from malnutrition, diabetes, kidney disease, and cancer. These are conditions where adequate nutritional treatment is crucial. As a dietitian with us, you will treat patients with diseases and conditions where diet plays a central role in treatment. A large part of the dietary treatment involves elderly patients with malnutrition.

The work is independent and involves treating inpatients. You will have close collaboration with the clinic's speech therapist. The dietitian assists with the prescription of nutritional drinks and supplements, tube feeding, and equipment. The dietitian also facilitates further dietitian contact after discharge if needed.

About you

We are looking for a licensed dietitian with experience in healthcare or someone who wishes to try working as a dietitian in healthcare. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
