Welcome to VO AN/OP/IVA at Södertälje Hospital

We are part of a small hospital with a big heart. Our short decision-making paths allow us to develop new effective ways of working more easily and quickly, always focusing on what is best for our patients. We care about a good working environment and a collaborative climate, both within and outside our area of operations. Do you want to be a part of us?

Specialist Nurse for the Recovery Unit at Södertälje Hospital:

Are you a specialist nurse with an interest in postoperative care and clinical assessments? The Recovery Unit (UVA) at Södertälje Hospital is now looking for an engaged colleague who wants to work in an organization where patient safety, collaboration, and professionalism are at the center.

At UVA, you will be responsible for postoperative care to prevent complications. Your tasks include monitoring vital parameters, clinical assessments, and taking nursing and medical actions to ensure a safe recovery.

The position involves close collaboration with colleagues in the Day Surgery Center (DKC), which provides the opportunity to follow the patient through the entire perioperative process – from preparations to recovery and onward to discharge. You will become part of a close-knit team where a holistic view and continuity in care are a natural part of the work. You will also collaborate closely with central operations and ICU, which takes over recovery during on-call hours.

We offer:

  • A varied and stimulating position in a permissive and safe working environment
  • An engaged and competent team that supports each other
  • The opportunity to influence and develop our routines and forms of collaboration
  • Active quality work and continuous improvement of nursing routines

Your personal qualities:

We are looking for someone with a clear holistic view and the ability to see the patient's entire care process, from admission and surgery to recovery. You are an engaged team player who values collaboration both within and across professional boundaries and contributes to a positive work environment. With an empathetic and patient-centered approach, you create safety and respect in your interactions with both patients and colleagues.

We place great importance on personal suitability in this recruitment.

Your qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Licensed nurse with the right to practice within Swedish healthcare.
  • Specialist education in intensive care and/or anesthesia. Alternatively, another specialist direction that the employer assesses as relevant for the position.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience.

Meritorious:

  • Previous work experience in postoperative care.

Employment form:

Permanent employment, full-time or as agreed. Working hours are between 7 AM and 9 PM, Monday to Friday, no weekends or public holidays. Currently, we leave earlier on Fridays and schedule one evening shift per week.
