Welcome to us

Do you want a meaningful summer job where you help care recipients achieve a better everyday life? Our work is characterized by professionalism and participation with a focus on the citizens.

As a summer substitute with us, you will receive:

  • An independent, social, and developing job where you get to know different individuals and their life stories
  • Become part of a strong team that supports each other and has fun at work
  • Opportunity for extra work after the summer

We offer

In home care, no day is the same! You help care recipients with what they have difficulty managing themselves, based on assistance decisions. Your workdays may vary, and some of your tasks may include:

  • Personal care (e.g., dressing, showering, toilet visits, assistance with transfers, changing incontinence pads)
  • Cooking, shopping, cleaning, and laundry
  • Companionship during walks and activities

You will receive an introduction with both theoretical and practical training to feel secure in your role. You will primarily work with the elderly but also with individuals with physical disabilities and dementia. There may be smoking and pets in the homes of our clients. You will get around either on foot, by bike, or by car. In your work, you will receive information about visits on your mobile phone, where you will also document what you have done.

In addition to practical tasks, you are also expected to document events in our systems and maintain contact with relatives, primary care, and other internal/external partners. We constantly work together to develop our operations. We have pre-job meetings and always end the day by ensuring documentation and facilitating for upcoming shifts.

Working hours and schedule:

  • Work shifts occur during the day, evening, weekends, and you are expected to work both weekdays and some weekends
  • Opportunity to start working as a substitute even before and after the summer.

Your role

For this job, your personality is the most important thing. We are looking for someone who is interested in working with people, has a commitment to their work, and a drive to develop and improve. You need to quickly adapt to changes and see opportunities in new situations.

You collaborate well with others, are responsive, and communicate clearly. You have the ability to understand others' perspectives and can empathetically handle others' feelings with a calm and friendly approach.

Your skills and experience

We want you to:

  • Be at least 18 years old before you start working
  • Have good knowledge of Swedish (spoken and written)
  • Be able to cycle and be accustomed to it
  • Have computer skills and the ability to document

We see it as a merit if you:

  • Have previously worked in home care
  • Have a B driver's license and can drive a vehicle for work
  • Have knowledge of documentation within SoL
