Nurse for the Day Surgery Center (DKC) at Södertälje Hospital:

Do you want to work closely with patients in an environment with varying pace and a strong focus on quality? We are now looking for a nurse who wants to be an important part of the patient's perioperative journey at the Day Surgery Center (DKC) at Södertälje Hospital.

At DKC, you will work with preparations for both planned and emergency surgeries in general surgery, orthopedics, urology, and gynecology. The operations involve adult patients, and you will meet them both before and after surgery. The role includes overall nursing responsibility as well as follow-up and planning for discharge. We also rotate to the admission unit, which has been under our area of operations for the past year.

The work is carried out in close collaboration with colleagues in the Recovery Unit (UVA), creating good continuity and a holistic view of care. Here, you have the opportunity for a varied workday and to follow the patient through several steps in the care process, contributing to safe and secure day surgery care.

Your qualifications:

Requirements:

• Licensed nurse with the right to practice within Swedish healthcare.
• At least 2 years of professional experience.

Meritorious:

• Previous work experience in pre- and postoperative care.

Employment form:

Permanent employment, full-time or as agreed. Working hours are between 7 AM and 8 PM, Monday to Friday, no weekends or public holidays. Currently, we leave earlier on Fridays and schedule one evening shift per week.
