School Psychologist for Adolfsbergsskolan, Beckombergaskolan, and Mariehällsskolan

Adolfsbergsskolan, Beckombergaskolan, and Mariehällsskolan are three well-functioning F-6 schools in Bromma.

Adolfsberg and Mariehäll schools are located close to each other in the Mariehäll/Annedal area, and you can easily and quickly reach Beckombergaskolan via public transport from Mariehäll.

We are now seeking a school psychologist for 80% of the time, with the position divided 40/20/20 among the three schools. There will be some flexibility regarding how the working hours are allocated across the schools.

Your Role

As a school psychologist, you are an important part of the school's student health team alongside the principal and other professionals. The main task of the student health team is to work health-promoting and preventive to create a school environment that is good for students' learning, development, and health.

You contribute psychological expertise as support in the pedagogical work and in the overall planning of the student health work. At the request of the principal, you conduct psychological assessments, diagnostics, and observations of students, groups, and the organization.

You contribute with:

  • psychological knowledge regarding protective and risk factors for students' health, learning, and development, for example, through training on mental health and illness.
  • psychological expertise in the work of the student health teams and development work at all three schools
  • supervision and consultation to the school's staff in areas where psychological expertise is necessary.
  • supportive conversations with students and consultative interventions for guardians

You assist with your expertise in the school's crisis and disaster management and provide guidance and support to the school management in matters related to organization, groups, resources, and handling individual student cases. You contribute structure, problem analysis, and a holistic view in the salutogenic student health work.

Your Competence and Experience

We are looking for someone who is a licensed psychologist and has knowledge and experience working with children.

It is an advantage if you have previous experience working as a school psychologist, good knowledge of the school's organization and governing documents, as well as knowledge of relevant laws and regulations for schools.

To succeed in the role of school psychologist, you need to:

  • have a very good analytical ability, take initiative, and apply an evidence-based and systematic approach.
  • be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with colleagues, students, and guardians
  • have excellent organizational skills
  • be relationship-building and trustworthy
  • have experience in assessment and supervision
  • have good insight into group processes and can handle crises and conflicts
  • be able to express yourself professionally and clearly in Swedish, both orally and in writing
