Service Leader Wanted

ABOUT THE POSITION

The operation in Skövde is part of a larger organization that works with the operation, maintenance, and development of energy infrastructure throughout Sweden. There is a clear focus on safety, sustainability, and quality – and on taking care of both employees and customers.

As a Service Leader, you will be responsible for planning and executing scheduled service and maintenance work. This means ensuring that the right job is done at the right time, with the right resources. The work does not include emergency interventions but focuses on planned assignments where you coordinate in advance when the job will be performed, which technicians are needed, and whether external equipment, such as an excavator, is required. The assignments can vary from shorter tasks performed by one technician to more extensive work requiring multiple resources.

The role is independent, and a central part of the assignment is to staff and plan the work for a number of technicians for whom you are responsible, with the goal of ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow. You will work based on a clear prioritization between different jobs and receive support in this during the introductory period. The work requires good foresight, as planning often extends several weeks into the future – for example, regarding material orders that may have longer lead times – while you continuously prepare upcoming assignments in parallel with ongoing work.

You will collaborate closely with both service leaders and project managers and work tightly together in daily operations. The group consists of a project manager and a service leader in Jönköping, as well as another project manager in Skövde. Therefore, the role involves many points of contact and a great need for good communication and coordination. To succeed in this role, you enjoy having many parallel tasks ongoing and work in a structured, meticulous, and solution-oriented manner. You are communicative, social, and flexible, as conditions can change rapidly due to, for example, permitting processes or altered timelines.

JOB DUTIES

Job Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and follow up on scheduled service and maintenance work, including resource and time planning
Ensure proper staffing for assigned technicians and create a smooth and efficient workflow
Prepare upcoming work through material orders, permit management, and long-term planning
Work closely with service leaders and project managers and maintain ongoing dialogue with technicians and external resources

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

Has at least a high school education, preferably in electrical engineering, power engineering, or economics
Has experience working as a project manager or project coordinator
Has a genuine technical interest, especially in electricity and electrical networks
Is fluent in Swedish and English, as daily communication occurs in both languages
The position requires placement in a security class where Swedish citizenship is a requirement

It is meritorious if you have

Experience in electrical engineering or power engineering
Experience in the contracting industry
