We work in teams within emergency care in medicine, cardiology, pulmonology, stroke, and infection at Östersund Hospital. We also provide outpatient care for several of these patient groups.

We have 13 employees within the professional groups of physiotherapists and occupational therapists. The unit is responsible for providing inpatient and outpatient patients within specialized somatic care with occupational therapy and physiotherapy.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a licensed physiotherapist within the medical clinic, you will work in a team on the ward together with other professionals close to the patient. Job responsibilities include, for example; information and assessment of physical activity and exercise for newly arisen or changed needs based on underlying conditions. Furthermore, you will work with early mobilization, respiratory care, active participation in the discharge process by assessing and prescribing aids, contacting municipal and primary care physiotherapists for follow-up needs, and teaching both patients and staff.
