Personal Assistant Wanted for a Social and Cheerful Young Man

About the Role

As a personal assistant, you will be part of an individualized effort aimed at providing our client with an independent and fulfilling life. The client has an intellectual disability and autism, which means he needs your support in all aspects of daily life, including:

• Planning and participating in activities and leisure pursuits such as outings, exercise, and social gatherings.

• Assistance with meals, personal hygiene, and daily routines.

• Communication and interaction with the environment. The client does not have spoken language but expresses himself through signs, pictures, gestures, and sounds that you will learn and become comfortable with.

• Maintenance of the home such as cleaning, laundry, and snow removal.

• Planning and implementing activities that enhance quality of life and joy.

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience (preferred!) or is curious about working with individuals who use alternative communication methods and clear pedagogical approaches.

• Is social, patient, and attentive.

• Has a genuine interest in working with people and understanding individual needs.

• Is responsible and flexible, with a positive attitude towards new challenges.

Qualifications

• You must be at least 18 years old.

• Fluent Swedish in both spoken and written form is a requirement.
