We are now starting a new LSS residence with a clear and important mission to provide safe, professional, and person-centered support to individuals with disabilities and extensive care needs. We are currently looking for 3 people for awake night shifts and 7 people for day and evening shifts. All positions are 100% and permanent. Working hours will be scheduled at various times between 07:00–21:00 during the day and evening, as well as 21:00–07:00 at night and may be adjusted.

Start date will be agreed upon.

Your new job

As a support assistant/support person within the Disability Sector, you will help shape a completely new LSS residence where you will have the opportunity to make a real difference for citizens with disabilities and extensive care needs. You will be an important part of creating a calm and safe environment where each citizen receives the help, support, and care needed for everyday life to function in the best possible way.

In this role, you provide individually tailored support, always respecting the citizen's needs, abilities, and wishes. Your work includes household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, support during meal situations, care, personal hygiene, and medication management, as well as social support and activities based on the citizens' interests and daily condition. The assignment includes being a contact person where you have the opportunity to build close and trusting relationships over time with the citizens. The work also involves close collaboration with relatives, licensed staff, support pedagogues, operational support, psychologists, social workers, and speech therapists, to create a safe and functioning whole for the citizen.

You will work in a group residence consisting of five apartments next to the individual apartments and the common area, as well as a satellite apartment in close proximity. You will help create structure, routines, and a caring reception for the citizens in their new home when the residence opens. The assignment also includes documenting in our operational systems Viva, DF-respons, and MCSS.

We would like you to have experience in care work and good computer skills.

If you have previously worked in our system Heroma with scheduling or coordinating tasks, this is a plus. Most importantly, you are a person who meets others with warmth, patience, and professionalism, and you see the value in contributing every day to another person living as independently and fulfilling a life as possible.

Your qualifications

Requirements

  • High school education, preferably with a clear focus on care or social work.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form
  • Good computer skills

Meritorious

  • Experience in care and nursing work
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Experience working from a low-arousal approach.
  • Experience in mentoring
