The primary task of the IT department is to provide IT services to the entire Police Authority. The IT department is an important part of crime prevention and crime-fighting work, and IT is one of the most important tools to streamline the police and improve the quality of police work. The IT department develops and modernizes the police's IT, and the authority invests heavily in strengthening the department with new specialist competence and the latest technology for the benefit of citizens and employees in the police operations.

The IT department's office provides support and guidance in the areas of administration, Employer Branding (attracting and retaining), operational planning and follow-up, as well as local coordination. The office also provides support to managers in the process of the department's competence supply.

Job Description

We are now looking for a local coordinator focused on the IT department's local and workplace coordination. Together with the current local coordinator, you will be the cohesive force for all matters concerning premises and workplaces in the IT department. You will work from our offices in Linköping and/or Norrköping, but the assignment also includes our operations in Gothenburg, which means that travel may occur.

You will lead your work in developing plans for how various activities related to the premises are carried out. Communication regarding different aspects takes place both verbally and in writing, and you have the ability to easily compile, for example, presentation materials tailored to the target audience. Ongoing communication also includes preparing documentation for decisions where clarity is a guiding principle.

Your main tasks include:

  • Collaborating both within and outside the department on local coordination issues
  • Being proactive in local issues that affect the operations
  • Work environment issues and, in the long term, the department's systematic work environment efforts
  • Contact person for our suppliers and responsible for existing contracts related to cleaning and internal services
  • Responsible for locker distribution at the offices, responsible for first aid kits, sending and receiving goods, and other matters related to the furnishings
  • Conducting fire safety inspections

This is an opportunity for you who have:

  • Academic/post-secondary education or other experience that the Police Authority deems relevant
  • At least three years of recent experience leading assignments in local coordination or other areas that the Police Authority deems relevant
  • Work experience in documentation and follow-up within coordinating work
  • Good ability to communicate and inform different groups in Swedish, both verbally and in writing

The position requires Swedish citizenship.

It is advantageous if you also have:

  • Experience working in government or public sector
  • Experience in work environment issues
  • Experience in project management

Personal Qualities

We are looking for someone who is goal-oriented and used to driving their own assignments. You have an easy time seeing the big picture, documenting, and can independently prioritize, plan, and follow up on your work. Your communication and collaboration skills are highly valued, and you are service-oriented and have a high level of integrity. You will work in the service of citizens, and therefore it is important that you understand the extent of the trust-building work it means to work within the police.

We will place great emphasis on personal qualities.
