At the Örkelljunga health center, about 20 employees work with 6000 registered patients. We have specialists in general medicine, ST and AT doctors. We have several training doctors within ST and also AT doctors with supervision and support. Every week we also have rounds with home care and assisted living. In addition, we run nurse and district nurse clinics for asthma/COPD, diabetes, elderly care, smoking cessation, and blood pressure monitoring. There is a family center with an associated BVC clinic. We have a very well-functioning collaboration with our physiotherapists and occupational therapist as well as with our therapist specializing in CBT. We are in the process of developing the rehab coordinator role to become part of the sick leave processes.

Örkelljunga has good bus connections with Ängelholm, Hässleholm, and Helsingborg. There are also plenty of free parking spaces. We have large old premises with an examination room and a dedicated office.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We now have the opportunity to welcome a specialist physician in general medicine with medical management responsibility!

We need you who are interested in working as a specialist physician in general medicine and have set aside time each week for an MLA (medical management responsible physician) assignment. An assignment where you work together with the operations manager to create conditions for developing medical quality and safety.

There is a BVC and a nursing home as well as home care where we have developed collaboration with rounds. You will have supervision from ST and AT doctors. There is also a BVC that is part of the family center located on the upper floor. One could say that the care here is as close to rural medicine as one can get in Skåne. We have an ambulance at the clinic every week.

The medical group is stable, and together we help each other to make care good for our patients.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a pronounced service mindset and always has the patient in focus. Of course, you have a genuine interest in people and good communication skills. Furthermore, it is important that you can collaborate and are flexible as we are a smaller workplace. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

To be eligible for the position, you must be a licensed physician and a specialist in general medicine with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. We would also like you to have work experience from previous positions. Language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale are a requirement.
