The Technical and Community Services Administration carries out essential community work every day, such as maintaining, managing, and developing streets, parks, properties, and sports facilities, cleaning, cooking, collecting garbage, delivering water, and treating sewage. We also help Motala municipality grow sustainably with a holistic perspective and provide conditions for doing things right in a simple and legally secure way. Our goal is proud employees who deliver to the residents of Motala!
The meal service provides good, safe, well-prepared, nutritious, and sustainable food that is pleasant and integrated. The meals are planned with a holistic view of the environment and service. The meal service prepares food for preschools, schools, and nursing homes.
We are now looking for a kitchen manager for Marieberg School.

JOB DESCRIPTION
As a kitchen manager, you participate in daily kitchen work and are responsible for planning, purchasing, and producing meals. You lead and distribute the work, promote well-being and collaboration in the workplace by providing support to employees. In case of absence, you inform about staffing needs and participate in reallocating staff to other kitchens. You have close customer contact and work service-oriented for a positive dining experience. You are the contact person for, for example, principals, educators, guests, and nursing homes, and participate in meal councils or other meetings where meals are discussed. You participate in the work to achieve common goals, develop the business and employees, and are responsible for ensuring that policies, guidelines, and the business idea are followed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Formal qualifications:
- You have a high school education in restaurant and food, large-scale cooking training, or equivalent other education.
- You have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.
- You have at least 3 years of experience working in restaurants and/or large kitchens or equivalent.
- Experience in leadership or management is an advantage.
Personal competencies:
- You are structured by organizing and planning your work well, working according to a clear process where you complete what you have started. You set deadlines and meet them.
- You are confident in yourself, stand up for your opinions, and have the courage to speak up when needed. You have the ability to separate issues from people and can feel secure even in uncertain situations.
- You are creative and think outside the box. You find new solutions to both old and new problems. You often come up with ideas and new approaches to work-related issues and have innovative thinking that can be implemented in practice and lead to results.
