The Association House Kontakten is part of Studiefrämjandet Mälardalen. We have open activities four days a week where we assist visitors with study support, community orientation, job applications, forms, and the Swedish language. All to enable and find pathways to education and work.

The Association House Kontakten is a multicultural, interactive, and vibrant meeting place in Gottsunda center. Kontakten aims to stimulate democratic forms such as participation and influence, inclusion, and integration. Our vision is to be a meeting place and an association house where everyone's equal value is respected and where we provide opportunities for people to create their role models for lifelong learning.

Within the organization, there are children and youth activities. In the premises, we also have a dance and music studio as well as a café. We also run a lending service for sports and outdoor equipment. The lending concept primarily aims to promote public health – to give everyone the opportunity for an active leisure time. Within the lending service, we lend out thousands of sports items and annually organize several events and create spontaneous activities.

Your profile

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with other people. You are committed, attentive, and resilient. You can be flexible and have the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Furthermore, you have good knowledge in core subjects such as Swedish, English, and mathematics. You also have knowledge of sports and leisure equipment. We also see that you are good at explaining and teaching knowledge.

It is advantageous if you have previously worked with study support and have good knowledge of Uppsala. It is also advantageous if you have previously worked or been engaged in folk education or held trusted positions within the association sector.

About the position

In the work with study support, you will meet many people with different needs and experiences. The work takes place largely in an open learning environment. You work together with colleagues and enjoy varied tasks. You will support individuals with forms, the Swedish language, and studies. In the work with the lending service, you will receive borrowers and work on the maintenance of sports equipment. You will be involved in planning activities and other operations, from implementation to execution.

The operating hours vary throughout the year, and weekend work may occur. For the most part, working hours are scheduled for weekday evenings. The work can be combined with studies.

Employment is based on the collective agreement "Workers in the civil society".
