Care Assistant with a Focus on Quality Development and Mentoring
Are you an experienced care assistant with an interest in quality development and mentoring? We are now looking for someone with solid knowledge and experience in elderly care who wants to take on extra responsibility for mentoring, quality, and orientation in our operations. Here, you will play a central role in contributing to good care and support through a person-centered approach, where each citizen's needs and wishes are in focus. By working closely with both colleagues and management, you create security, participation, and development – for both citizens and your colleagues.
Frösö Strand is a special accommodation located in a nature-friendly environment by Storsjö on Frösön. Here, there are green areas and beautiful walking paths that provide good opportunities for outdoor activities. The geographical location makes it easy to reach by bus from central Östersund. Frösö Strand has 38 apartments distributed over two floors. Each floor has a common area where citizens can socialize, share meals, and participate in activities. As a care assistant with us, you will be part of a pleasant and stable workgroup where we work in teams to offer citizens safe and qualitative care. This creates good conditions for strong collegial support.
The position is 100% and the working hours are scheduled during weekdays, where part of the working time consists of mentoring and the rest being part of the regular work team. You will be placed in the unit where you are employed, but your placement may be moved if necessary.
Your New Job
As a care assistant with advanced competence, you are an important part of developing both care and your colleagues. You work closely with the unit manager, coordinators, and various representatives and have a key role in supporting and guiding staff in their daily work. This includes mentoring colleagues in basic care, rehabilitative approaches, and documentation, as well as ensuring that routines are followed. You participate in case meetings, disseminate information within the organization, and support representative roles such as meal, activity, language, and documentation representatives.
Another important part is that you are responsible for the introduction of new employees and welcoming new citizens, where you help create a comprehensive picture of needs and initiate implementation plans. The role combines practical work with responsibility for mentoring, quality, and development, making it both varied and significant.
