Temporary Nurse Position at the Neuropsychiatric Clinic

Residents of Jämtland County in need of specialist psychiatric care receive treatment in outpatient or inpatient care at Östersund Hospital. The staff at the units have a significant responsibility in developing and improving care in collaboration with the area's management. There are approximately 270 employees in the area.

The Neuropsychiatric Clinic is now seeking a temporary nurse. Do you want to be part of a fantastic team of nurses? Our target group is individuals aged 18 and over with established neuropsychiatric disabilities where psychiatric specialist competence is required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

At the Neuropsychiatric Clinic, we assess and treat patients with certain neuropsychiatric disabilities, sometimes in combination with other mental health issues.

As a nurse, you will be the primary link for the patient to the clinic, and part of your role is to monitor the patient's well-being and be involved in their care. Other regular tasks include prescription management, medication follow-ups, sample collections, telephone advice, participation in treatment conferences, and SIP meetings, etc. With us, you will be part of a team of experienced nurses and specialist doctors, and your skills will be tested daily.

You will work both independently and in a team with your colleagues. In close contact with patients, colleagues, and care neighbors, you are the reassuring point that brings hope and makes a difference in people's lives, extending a hand when no one else is available. You will have close contact with many patients, which means you need to express yourself well in both speech and writing and be confident in yourself.

Nurses in psychiatric care coordinate and lead nursing work based on evidence-based knowledge and in relation to the individual needs of the patient. A profession that leaves no one untouched. The work is scheduled during daytime on weekdays. The work is flexible, allowing you to influence how you structure your workday. There is an opportunity to work remotely on certain days.

QUALIFICATIONS

Nursing degree.

Specialist training is an advantage.

You are an experienced computer user and have good communication skills in both speech and writing.
