Are you a trained nursing assistant looking to work in a department close to the pulse of emergency care? Then you might be the one we are looking for to join our neurology and stroke department at Helsingborg Hospital.

In newly renovated premises in the main building of the hospital, we care for patients with stroke and other neurological diseases such as Parkinson's, Guillain-Barré, myasthenia gravis, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, and brain tumors. Due to the department's focus on neurology and stroke patients, we also encounter acute situations and have a close collaboration with the emergency department. The department currently has two care teams with fourteen beds, five of which are monitoring beds with telemetry capability. We also have three day care places.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now welcoming four nursing assistants to join us in Helsingborg!

In your role as a nursing assistant with us, you will have a stimulating and varied job. You will perform common tasks in a care department with high preparedness for acute situations. The care work includes both basic and specific care based on a person-centered approach. Your work may vary from being an alarm nursing assistant assisting with acute stroke alarms and thrombolysis treatment one day, to being the responsible nursing assistant for a group of patients in one of our teams the next day.

As a new nursing assistant, you will receive an introduction that we plan together with you based on your wishes, experiences, and conditions. As an experienced nursing assistant, you will be offered training within Region Skåne, such as supervisor training.

We value competency training for our employees. If you are engaged in a specific area of responsibility, we provide you with the opportunity to deepen your skills through training, where you will then be responsible for passing on the knowledge to your colleagues.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant and meets the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for a protected professional title, regardless of whether you have studied under the previous or current program structure. Good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, are a requirement. If you have experience working as a nursing assistant in a hospital and/or in a neurology and stroke department, it is a merit. It is desirable that you have general computer skills and knowledge of the Melior journal system.

As a person, it is important that you have the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and can solve problems as they arise, as well as quickly switch work pace. Since you will be working in a team, we see that you have good collaboration skills and the ability to see the benefits of a multiprofessional approach. Your competence is important, and we expect you to share and contribute your knowledge and experiences with your colleagues.
