Within the field of pediatric medicine, we treat children and adolescents aged 0 to 18 years. At the Children's Cancer Center, we care for children with oncological and hematological diseases from all over southern Sweden.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a nurse for the Children's Cancer Center in Lund.

As a nurse with us, you will work closely with the children and their parents. A large part of the job involves making the children feel safe and building trust. The department has a strong focus on teamwork. The Children's Cancer Center is a complex operation where you provide patient-centered care, work with medical technology, medication administration, treatments with chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and stem cell transplants. The possible treatments are constantly evolving. The department collaborates with other pediatric oncology centers both nationally and internationally. We also organize our own training sessions with various themes within pediatric oncology.

The department has an ethics group, supervision, and debriefing if something occurs. As a newcomer, you will always have support from experienced nurses, and there is always someone to ask. You will receive their help to grow into the role. As a newly graduated nurse with us, we offer a comprehensive one-year training program in pediatric care, including group nursing supervision. The training program includes in-depth knowledge of both the healthy and the sick child, as well as a deepening within the broad field of pediatric medicine. The program consists of ten full days and starts in September and January.

QUALIFICATIONS

We require that you are a licensed nurse with the authority to work within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale is a requirement. Furthermore, we would like you to have further education or experience in pediatric care, oncology, or intensive care.

You who are applying want to contribute with knowledge, joy, and have a burning interest in caring for seriously ill children. As a person, you are proactive, flexible, and meticulous. Additionally, you have good collaboration skills and can work independently when required. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
