We are New Nurse Service in Helsingborg and Ängelholm, and we offer a unique opportunity for newly graduated nurses or for those who have worked for a maximum of one year, to gain a strong foundation in somatic care over a two-year period by trying out working in different departments. Starting in your new professional role can be challenging, and we are here to help you build a safe and versatile competence. Our two-year introduction package to the nursing profession is designed for you to experience as much as possible and provides you with many lessons for your future development.

Your full-time position with us is allocated to clinical activities, introduction, education, reflection, and any internships.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a newly graduated nurse with us, you will be part of a community from day one. Together with other newly graduated nurses, you will receive a two-week introduction, where you will receive training, scenario training, and a social context to prepare you for working life. Our introduction is interprofessional and some parts are parallel with the AT doctor introduction. We provide you with a broad understanding of the care environment.

You will work in six-month blocks in different units. Each semester you have scheduled training and reflection sessions with your colleagues in New Nurse Service. These activities, including the clinical foundation year, aim to increase your knowledge and strengthen collaboration in the workplace. We want to create a sense of belonging and a strong community.

Currently, we collaborate with 28 different operations, including medical, surgical, and emergency services. As a nurse with us, you have the flexibility to choose whether you want to work at Ängelholm Hospital or Helsingborg Hospital.

The employment is conditional upon obtaining a nursing license. After two years in New Nurse Service, you will have built up a broad experience and you will be offered/applied for a position in a specific department.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is studying to become a nurse and will graduate and be licensed as a nurse in June 2026, or a licensed nurse with a maximum of one year of experience from hospital care. You have the right to work in Swedish healthcare. Good knowledge of Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s level scale is a requirement.
