At Östberg, we strive to have products at the forefront of technology. Currently, much of the development in the ventilation industry is about making products smarter. This means we are now in an intense period of increased digitalization of our products.

We are looking for an Automation Engineer with a particular interest in the various areas of digitalization.

You have a focus/experience in product development of automation and digitalization, preferably of customer-oriented products with embedded systems.

You have a post-secondary education in automation or equivalent.

You have at least three years of work experience and are used to working independently. You have good collaborative skills and are accustomed to working both within and outside the organization to achieve expected results. You can express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and English.

Desirable areas of competence:

- Hardware-near programming and optimization

- Frontend and backend programming

- Platforms based on microcontrollers

- Optimization of control and monitoring algorithms

- Simulation, verification, and troubleshooting

- Automation of production processes

With us, you will have a shared responsibility for the management of existing control systems for our products, as well as being a driving force in the development of new hardware and software-based solutions. This involves being able to make changes in software yourself and/or specifying improvements that are then carried out by subcontractors. You will be responsible for the technical dialogue with suppliers.
