About the Company
Arctic Paper is a leading European manufacturer of high-quality graphic fine paper with a strong focus on sustainability, innovation, and long-term commitment. With roots in the Nordic industry and production in Sweden (Munkedal and Grycksbo) and Poland (Kostrzyn), we deliver paper to customers worldwide in the publishing, printing, and packaging industries. The production capacity of the three mills is approximately 700,000 tons of paper per year. The majority is sold through 14 of the company's own sales offices in Europe.
Our operations also include significant ownership in the pulp industry through our stake in Rottneros. Arctic Paper has been listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange since 2009 and on NASDAQ in Stockholm since 2012. We conduct our business according to our values; together, commitment, and sustainability.
Your Responsibilities
As the Head of Maintenance Improvement, you will be a central part of our future work. The role exists in an organization that is growing, changing, and investing, and you will have great opportunities to influence both direction and results. You will lead a highly skilled engineering team and work closely with production and technology to create stable, efficient, and predictable operations. This is a role for you who want to build, improve, and develop – while thriving in an environment where technology, people, and long-term commitment are at the center.
As the Head of Maintenance Improvement, you are responsible for developing the strategic maintenance work and moving the operations towards more preventive and predictable working methods. You lead a cross-functional engineering team within mechanics, electrical power, automation, and construction, and are also responsible for planning and documentation. In the role, you drive improvement and development initiatives that strengthen the operational reliability of the facility, and you actively work with digitization, standardization, and process development.
You collaborate closely with production and technology to optimize the facility's performance and create good conditions for sustainable and efficient maintenance. You ensure that our maintenance systems are used and developed correctly, and you follow up on the business's results through relevant key performance indicators to increase the availability of our machinery. In the role, you play an important part in shaping a new structure where processes, direction, and working methods are gradually built up — and where you contribute to creating clarity and stability in an organization that is in development.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone with a technical university degree and experience working strategically with maintenance in an industrial environment. You have previously led qualified technical functions and thrive in an environment where you can develop both people and working methods. You are accustomed to working with digital tools, analysis, and maintenance systems, and you have experience driving improvement work, change projects, and the implementation of new processes.
As a person, you are structured, committed, and development-oriented. You find it easy to build trust, communicate clearly, and create good collaborations between maintenance, production, and technology.
The role requires you to prioritize wisely, create order and direction, and maintain focus even when conditions change. You are motivated by working long-term and building something sustainable together with others, and you thrive in an organization where you can contribute both strategically and operationally.
