As a power systems engineer, you will play a central role in the planning, design, development, testing, installation, and coordination of activities involving high-voltage electrical systems and their main components. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that these systems function efficiently and reliably.Main responsibilities:
- Develop and implement design solutions for our diverse installed base of HVDC control and protection systems as well as operational technology
- Perform verification of our solutions – conducted in test labs and on-site
- Communicate with our existing customers to troubleshoot issues and prepare technical solutions
- Collaborate with a broader team of like-minded colleagues and experts to deliver the best results for our customers
The company develops and manufactures advanced energy solutions in high-voltage direct current (HVDC), powerful transformers, and environmentally efficient high-voltage substations. The company works on developing technologies for transferring energy from the production site to the point of use with minimal loss, which is crucial for supporting sustainable energy use. With its base in Ludvika, the company currently has establishments around the world, and the future forecasts for continued growth are very promising.About the department You will belong to the department responsible for service and aftersales. Once a project is completed and the product is in operation, the department takes over responsibility. The group works with aftersales and is not involved in the construction phase but is responsible for the final phase of the project. The group handles warranties, projects that are completed, upgraded, or discontinued. The group is responsible for control and protection systems, including HMI. More information about the role will be provided during the interview.About you We are looking for someone with the following qualifications: - At least a two-year post-secondary education in Electrical Power, IT, Operations Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, or equivalent - Proficient in English, both spoken and written - Willing to live in Ludvika - Open to travel for work We consider it an advantage if you also have: - Experience working in IT, Servers, or as a technician - Proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written We are looking for someone who has/is: • A desire to become self-sufficient and highly engaged: You have a strong ambition to become self-sufficient and take responsibility for your work.
