Personal Ombudsman for the Disability Sector
We are now expanding our operations and are looking for an additional personal ombudsman for the Disability Sector.
A personal ombudsman is a voluntary support aimed at adults with extensive and long-term mental disabilities. The mission aims to strengthen the individual's rights and opportunities in contact with various societal institutions. With us, you will be part of an engaged team of seven competent personal ombudsmen, with varying backgrounds and experiences. We work closely together, with strong collegial support, and one of the personal ombudsmen has a coordinating function.
The position is permanent with a full-time employment rate of 100% and is based at our office at Östersängparken, Förlandsgränd 1C. You will work office hours with annual working time, which provides good opportunities for flexibility. The job involves a significant amount of travel by car, as clients may reside in different parts of the county.
Your New Job
In the role of personal ombudsman, you will primarily work on mapping and formulating the client's need for support and assistance in society, in close collaboration with the individual. The support may include areas such as finances, daily activities, work, leisure, and contacts with authorities. To succeed in the assignment, we would like you to have previous experience working with people, for example in a social profession, and that you feel comfortable in that work. You have the ability to show empathy and understanding for the client's situation, while being aware of the importance of supporting without taking over the client's responsibilities or tasks. You also have good collaboration skills and contribute to a professional and respectful work environment together with your colleagues or in collaboration with partners. Collaboration with other municipalities occurs. It is also an advantage if you have the ability to read, understand, and apply instructions and regulations from, for example, the Social Insurance Agency or other authorities.

Your Competence
Requirements
- High school education deemed suitable by the employer
- Good Swedish in speech and writing
- Good computer skills
- Driver's license-B (including manual transmission)
Meritorious
- Experience working in social work
- Knowledge and/or experience in reading, understanding, and applying instructions and regulations from authorities
